SWEET BRIAR, Va. — The Sweet Briar tennis team fell to visiting Lynchburg on Friday afternoon, 5-0 inside of the Upchurch Field House.

In a match played to decision, the Hornets (11-2, 6-1 ODAC) swept the Vixens (2-11, 0-6 ODAC) in doubles action. The Vixens' top doubles pair, juniors Emily Wandling (Mechanicsville, Va.) and Lacey Tucker (Swansboro, N.C.) won three games in an 8-3 loss at No. 1.

Tucker won one game in a 6-1, 6-0 loss at No. 3 singles, while junior Lexi Culley (Louisa, Va.) dropped a two-set match at No. 2.

Sweet Briar heads to Emory & Henry on Sunday for a noon meeting with the Wasps.
