Tennis Opens Spring Slate Against Ferrum, Meredith
SWEET BRIAR, Va. – The Sweet Briar tennis team will begin its spring season with two matches on Saturday, Feb. 26. The first match is set to take place at Ferrum at 10 a.m., while the Vixens will host Meredith at the Van Der Meer Tennis Center at noon.
Sweet Briar was recently picked second in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) women's tennis preseason poll for the second-straight year.
The Vixens lead the all-time series against Ferrum 7-1 and Meredith 2-1.

What to Know
- Ferrum was picked 11th in the preseason poll.
- This will be the first matchup between Sweet Briar and Meredith since 2013.
- The pairing of juniors Ruth de Souza (Marilia, Brazil) and Allison Wandling (Mechanicsville, Va.) are the only women's double team from the ODAC to be ranked in the top-25 nationally by the ITA at No. 17.
