NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Sweet Briar cross country team completed the NCAA South Regional Preview today in Newport News, Va. The Vixens fielded four runners in the 6K race.
Sophomore
Angelyn Wiggins (Churchville, Md.) finished first for Sweet Briar with a time of 28:18.4.
She was followed by junior Lilly Terwilliger (Fayetteville, N.C.), who clocked a time of 29:28.1.
Junior
Savannah Anderson (Eau Claire, Wis.) came fourth in the lineup for the Vixens, and finished the race in 34:39.6.
Rounding out the field was sophomore
Kae Babcock (Red Lion, Pa.) who registered a time of 39:59.2.
Highlights
- Wiggins' time of 28:18.4 marks the eighth-fastest 6K time in Sweet Briar history.
- The NCAA South Regional Preview marked the first official collegiate race for Anderson and Babcock.
