SWEET BRIAR, Va. – The Sweet Briar College softball team (0-6) will host the Southern Virginia Knights (1-1, 0-0 USA South) on Wednesday, Mar. 1 before heading to Myrtle Beach, S.C. for the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic for an eight-game schedule.
The Vixens will kick off action in Myrtle Beach on Sunday, March 5 against Theil (0-0, 0-0 PAC) at 3 p.m. and Northern Vermont–Johnson (0-0, 0-0 NECC) immediately following the conclusion of that game at 5 p.m.
Contests against Delaware Valley (0-0, 0-0 MAC Freedom) and Clarks Summit (0-0, 0-0 CSAC) are scheduled for Monday, March 6 at p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively.
Sweet Briar is coming off their home opening doubleheader which saw the team score a combined five runs over both games. First-year
Victoria Tew (Hope Mills, N.C.) recorded two runs scored, one in each game, to now lead the team with three total.

- Sweet Briar is set for its first-ever matchups against Southern Virginia, Thiel, NVU-Johnson and Clarks Summit.
- First-year Kaylie Hudson (Lynchburg, Va.) leads the team with a .500 slugging percentage after recording five hits, two doubles and two RBIs so far this season.

The Vixens will close out the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic against Gwynedd Mercy and Blackburn on March 8 and Penn State Fayette and Delaware Valley on March 9.
