SWEET BRIAR, Va. – The Sweet Briar College softball team (7-15) will head to North Carolina for the program's first-ever matchup with the Brevard College Tornados (4-10, 1-3 USA South).
Game one is set to start at 1 p.m. while game two will be immediately after at 3 p.m.
The Vixens are coming off a doubleheader against Randolph, which included an extra inning in the second game of the day.
First-year
Kaylie Hudson (Lynchburg, Va.) hit a three-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to send the game to extras.
Three Sweet Briar players, first-years
Lauren Jamerson (Buckingham, Va.),
Victoria Tew (Hope Mills, N.C.) and
Alyssa O'Quinn (Powhatan, Va.) all recorded two hits in game two as well.
What to Know
- Hudson now has four home runs on the season, putting her in a tie for 45th in the nation.
- Jamerson ranks 26th in the country with three triples on the season.

The Vixens will return home to take on Marymount on Wednesday, April 5.
