SWEET BRIAR, Va. - The Sweet Briar College softball team (9-17) has three doubleheaders on the schedule for this week, hosting Mary Baldwin on Wednesday, April 12, away at Carolina on Friday, April 14 and another contest at home against Meredith on Sunday, April 16.
The Vixens will face off against the Mary Baldwin University Fighting Squirrels at 3 and 5 p.m., against the Carolina University Bruins at 2 and 4 p.m. and against the Meredith College Avenging Angels at 12 and 2 p.m.
The team is coming off of a split game last week against Marymount. A four-run fifth inning which included RBIs from first-years
Victoria Tew (Hope Mills, N.C.) and
Kaydin Williams (Richlands, N.C.) helped give the Vixens the 8-6 victory.
What to Know
- The Vixens will face off against the Fighting Squirrels and the Avenging Angles for the first time since 2012.
- Friday will mark the first-ever matchup between Sweet Briar and Carolina.
What's Next
The team will host Carolina on Friday, April 21 before heading to Salem on Sunday, April 23.
