NELLYSFORD, Va. – The Sweet Briar College golf team placed sixth out of a total of eight teams competing at the Knights Invitational thanks to a score of 731 (+155, 361/370).
Senior
Amani Narang (Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India) led the way for Sweet Briar in a tie for fourth with a two-day total of 159 (+15). Narang shot an 84 on day one and then bested that score by nearly ten strokes on day two with a 75.
Sophomore
Isabella Peregrine (Liberty, Mo.) also placed within the top half of the field with a score of 179 (+35) after totaling an 88 in round one and a 91 in round two.
Fellow sophomore
Kailei Minter (Martinsville, Va.), senior Hailey Holzworth (Scottsbluff, Neb.) and sophomore
Kendel Wickline (Frederick, Md.) all finished with ten places of one another with scores of 191 (+47), 202 (+58) and 209 (+65), respectively.
Senior
Hannah Norvell (Littleton, Colo.) contested the event as an individual and wrapped up action with a 252 (+108).
Highlights
- Narang jumped up six spots on the leaderboard to conclude the invitational in a tie for fourth.
- Minter recorded a new career-low round score on day one with an 88.

The Vixens will head to the Chick-fil-A Invitational, hosted by Berry, Oct. 28th – 29th.
