GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Sweet Briar College soccer team saw a record number of student-athletes named to the 2024 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team yesterday as seniors
Natalie Cockey (Oxford, Md.),
Jillian Lewis (Ellicott City, Md.) and
Emma Wilk (Roxbury, N.J.) and sophomore
Mia Viccora (Fairfax, Va.) all earned honors.
Cockey saw action in all but one game for the Vixens and tallied a goal against Trinity Washington on Sept. 13th.
Lewis recorded a career-high five goals this season to lead the team including historic goals against Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) opponents Randolph and Ferrum.
Both Viccora and Wilk saw action on the field in all 15 games this past season. Viccora was an integral part of Sweet Briar's defense and also started two games in goal while Wilk tallied a goal against Trinity Washington on Sept. 13th during her time as a forward.
This marks the third CSC honor for Lewis in soccer and the first for Cockey, Viccora and Wilk.
To be eligible for the CSC Academic All-District Team, student-athletes must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and must have played in at least 90% of the institution's games or started in 60% of them.
