HAMPTON, Va. – The Sweet Briar College swim team (2-6, 1-6 ODAC) sits in eighth after completing the first two days of the Yellow Jacket Mid-Season Invite hosted by Randolph-Macon.
The Vixens started the three-day meet off on Friday with a 14th-place showing in the 200-yard freestyle relay thanks to a time of 1:58.29

Mary Catherine Warner (Virginia Beach, Va.) and
Jillian Lewis (Ellicott City, Md.), first-year
Geneva Seitz (Havre de Grace, Md.) and sophomore
Ella Scherrer (Simpsonville, S.C.) also took 14th in the 400-yard medley relay.
Today's action began with the 200-yard medley relay where Sweet Briar placed 13th with a time of 2:10.18.
Lewis then saw action in the first individual race of the meet, the 100-yard breaststroke, where she placed 19th with a time of 1:13.52.

Emily Carter (Beckley, W. Va.) rounded out action tonight with 13th in the 800-yard freestyle relay as they combined for a time of 10:11.00.
Highlights
- Lewis's time in the 100-yard breaststroke is the sixth-fastest in recent history and is a little more than a second off her collegiate best.
- Sweet Briar contested the 800-yard freestyle relay for the first time this season.

The Vixens will wrap up the invitational with two sessions tomorrow at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
