HARRISONBURG, Va. – The Sweet Briar College golf team currently sits in sixth through round one of the Bridgewater Invitational after earning a team total of 342 (+84) on the course today.
Senior
Amani Narang (Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India) leads the team and currently sits in second place, one shot back from the leader. Narang shot a 71 today to head into round two one under par.
In a tie for 19th sits sophomore
Isabella Peregrine (Liberty, Mo.) with a day one score of 87 (+15) while senior
Haley Holzworth (Scottsbluff, Neb.) is tied for 30th thanks to her score of 91 (+19).
Rounding out the field for Sweet Briar are sophomores
Kailei Minter (Martinsville, Va.) and
Kendel Wickline (Frederick, Md.) who earned scores of 93 (+21) and 98 (+26), respectively.
Highlights
- Wickline's round one score of 98 marks a new career-low round for the Maryland native.
- Today's round marks the first time since 2020 that all Vixen golfers shot under 100.
