SWEET BRIAR, Va. – The Sweet Briar College softball team has unveiled its 2026 schedule, consisting of 18 doubleheaders and four spring break games.
The team will open the 2026 campaign on the road at Greensboro on February 11th, playing a doubleheader in Greensboro, N.C. The Vixens then return to campus for their home opener on February 20th against Mary Washington, followed by another non-conference home twin bill versus N.C. Wesleyan on February 28th.
On March 3rd, Sweet Briar travels to Arlington, Va., to face Marymount before returning home to face Lancaster Bible on March 6th, beginning a busy mid-March stretch. The Vixens will head to Raleigh, N.C., over spring break for action against Methodist and N.C. Wesleyan on March 7th and NYU and Christopher Newport on March 8th. They resume home action on March 14th with an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) showdown against Bridgewater and a March 17th matchup at Southern Virginia.
Conference play continues with a home series against Guilford on March 21st before Sweet Briar returns to the road for a March 22nd doubleheader at William Peace. The Vixens then travel to Ashland, Va., to face Randolph-Macon on March 27th and open April at Mary Baldwin in Staunton, Va., on April 1st.
Entering the final stretch of the season, Sweet Briar visits Lynchburg on April 7th and travels to Roanoke in Salem, Va., on April 11th. The Vixens then close their home schedule with three-straight ODAC doubleheaders; Shenandoah comes to the Sweet Briar softball field on April 12th, followed by Virginia Wesleyan on April 15th.
The team will then travel to EMU on April 19th before hosting its last home doubleheader of the season against Randolph on April 21st. The regular season concludes on the road as Sweet Briar heads to Danville, Va., for an April 25th matchup at Averett.
