GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Sweet Briar College swim team began action at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championship today at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.
The morning preliminary events saw both first-year
Geneva Seitz (Havre de Grace, Md.) and sophomore
Ella Scherrer (Simpsonville, S.C.) kick things off in the 500-yard freestyle. Seitz placed 27th with a time of 6:23.90 while Scherrer finished in 30th with her time of 6:39.31.
Senior
Mary Catherine Warner (Virginia Beach, Va.) placed 34th in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 26.77 while fellow senior
Jillian Lewis (Ellicott City, Md.) came in 36th with a time of 27.73. First-year
Carlee Minyard (Jacksonville, Fla.) wrapped up morning action for Sweet Briar with her time of 43.54 in the event to place 45th.
In the evening finals session, the Vixens placed ninth, ahead of both Hollins and Guilford, in the 200-yard freestyle relay and the 400-yard medley relay with times of 1:52.25 and 4.41.71, respectively.

- Scherrer recorded a new personal best in the 500-yard freestyle.
- Both Lewis and Minyard set new personal records in the 50-yard freestyle.
