FOREST, Va. – The Sweet Briar College tennis team saw four student-athletes named to the All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Second team; the conference announced today.
Junior
Alex Guilarte (Barquisimeto, Venezuela) got her second-straight selection for the second team at No. 3 singles. Guilarte went 8-1 during the season with her only loss coming at the hands of then-No. 13 Washington and Lee.
Sophomore
Isadora Lima (Natal, Brazil) also earned postseason honors once again, this time at No. 4 singles. Lima saw an 11-3 record at the flight during the dual season.
Fellow sophomore
Maggie Minton (Wytheville, Va.) captured her first All-ODAC nod at No. 5 singles with her record of 7-3.
Earning All-ODAC Second Team doubles honors were the duos of Guilarte/Patino at No. 1 and Lima/Minton at No. 3.
The pairing of Guilarte/Patino once again find themselves on the list after being named to the first team last season. They totaled a 7-4 record over the spring with all matches played at the No. 1 flight. One notable win for the duo this past season was their 6-4 victory over Long/Lorenz of then-No. 13 Washington and Lee.
Lima/Minton went 5-2 during the spring months to earn the first All-ODAC doubles honors for either player.
