ASHLAND, Va. – The Sweet Briar IHSA team earned the title of High Point Team for the third time this season while at Haverhill Farm today. Adding on to the Vixens' success was senior
Anne Rucker (Midlothian, Va.), who become the fourth member of the team to qualify for regionals.
Rucker earned her regionals spot after finishing first in the intro class at the show hosted by the University of Richmond.
Also earning first place finishes were sophomore
Emmy Longest (Hanover, Va.) and junior
Sita Moses (Dublin, N.H.) who captured victories in open flat and intermediate flat, respectively.
Sophomore
Nina Hugi (Chicago, Ill.) came second in intermediate flat and third in intermediate fences while first-year
Marran Vansickle (Powhatan, Va.) finished in second in limit fences and third in limit flat.
Sweet Briar saw additional second and third place finishes in today's show from senior
Madeline Rucker who finished second in pre-novice, sophomore
Shannon Carter (King George, Va.) who finished second in limit fences and first-years
Julianna McIntyre (Englewood, Fla.) who finished third in intro and
Emily Roberts (Goochland, Va.) who finished third in novice.
Senior
Chloe Kerschl (Lexington, Va.) nabbed a top-5 finish as well, coming fourth in open fences.
Highlights
