SALEM, Va. – The Sweet Briar cross country team finished 12th out of 15 teams today at the Roanoke XC Invitational at Greenhill Park.
Sophomore
Angelyn Wiggins (Churchville, Md.) once against finished the 6k first for the Vixens, crossing the finish line at the 25:52.2 mark.
Wiggins was followed by junior
Lily Terwilliger (Fayetteville, N.C.) who completed the race in 26:09.8.
Junior
Savannah Anderson (Eau Claire, Wis.) and senior
Evie Sparacio (Stroudsburg, Pa.) finished within seconds of one another with times of 30:25.0 and 30:29.0, respectively.
Rounding out the field for Sweet Briar was sophomore
Kae Babcock (Red Lion, Pa.) with a recorded time of 36:56.1.
Highlights
- Wiggins bested more than half the field, placing 55 out of 125 total runners and recorded the third-best 6k time in program history.
- Terwilliger gets her name in the record books once again as well with the fifth-best time.
- For the second-straight race all members of the team bested their previous teams.

The Vixens' next currently scheduled race is the JWU Wildcat XC Classic on Friday, Oct. 21 in Charlotte, N.C.
