LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Sweet Briar cross country team completed its first race of the season yesterday with the WildCat XC Relays hosted by Randolph.
In the 4 x 1k race, the Vixens fell short of the Wildcats with a combined time of 16:19.
In the following 1k open race, sophomore
Angelyn Wiggins (Churchville, Md.) finished second behind a runner from Mary Baldwin.
Sophomore
Kae Babcock (Red Lion, Pa.) came seventh in her first-ever collegiate race.
Highlights
- Wiggins had the fastest split of the day with a 3:38.6, nearly 10 seconds faster than the fastest Randolph runner.
- Junior Lilly Terwilliger (Fayetteville, N.C.) finished third while senior Evie Sparacio (Stroudsburg, Pa.) nabbed a sixth-place finish.
