BERKELEY SPRINGS, W. Va. – The Sweet Briar College golf team wrapped up the first invitational of the 2024-25 season in a tie for sixth place today out of 11 total teams competing at the Shenandoah Invitational.
The Vixens combined for a two-day score of 705 (+129) after shooting a 356 in round one and dropping seven strokes for a 349 in round two.
Senior
Amani Narang (Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India) led the team with a total score of 157 to finish fourth. The India native shot a 79 yesterday and a 78 today to finish only 13 strokes over par.
Sophomore
Isabella Peregrine (Liberty, Mo.) was next on the leaderboard for Sweet Briar finishing in a tie for 22nd. Peregrine earned a two-day total of 173 (92, 81) to finish +29 on the weekend.
Both sophomore
Kailei Minter (Martinsville, Va.) and senior
Haley Holzworth (Scottsbluff, Neb.) played both of their rounds in the 90s. Minter earned scores of 90 and 96 while Holzworth shot a 95 in round one and a 94 in round two.
Helping round out the team score was sophomore
Kendel Wickline (Frederick, Md.) whose total of 218 (+74) was earned from her day one score of 114 and her day two total of 104.
Fellow sophomore
Katelyn Ludwig (Fairfax, Va.) contested the invitational as an individual and totaled a 250 (+106) through her two days of scores of 128 and 122.
Highlights
- Both Peregrine and Wickline marked new career-low rounds with their scores of 81 and 104 today.
- Wickline also topped her career-low 36-hole tournament score by 14 strokes.
- Minter tied her career-low round score of 90 on day one and bested her career-low 36-hole tournament score by two strokes.

The Vixens will contest the Bridgewater Invitational, Sept. 23rd-24th, at the Lakeview Golf Course.
