BRIDGEWATER, Va. – The Sweet Briar College cross country team kicked off postseason action this morning at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championships.
First-year
Elaina Sherline (Morehead City, N.C.) crossed the finish line first for the Vixens in 65th with a time of 27:17.0.
Just over a minute behind with fellow first-year
Shiloh Thompson (Ruckersville, Va.), who completed her first postseason race in 28:31.9
First-year
Nora Bruinooge (Cape Cod, Mass.) completed her first collegiate 6k race this morning, crossing the finish line at the 43:53.6 mark.
Highlights
- Both Sherline and Thompson put their names in the Sweet Briar record book with the 10th and 14th, respectively, fastest ODAC Championship times in program history.
- Sherline and Thompson also set new personal-best times in the 6k event.
What's Next
The Vixens will compete at the NCAA DIII South Regional Championships on Nov. 15th.
