SWEET BRIAR, Va. – Volleyball will make its return to Sweet Briar College's athletics lineup with the 2025 season. The Vixens will compete in a total of 22 contests, with seven of those matches taking place in Williams Gymnasium.
The season kicks off at home on August 29th with a morning matchup against Johnson & Wales-Charlotte. The Vixens will remain at home to face Bluefield on September 2nd, before hitting the road to Raleigh, N.C., to take on Shaw on September 6th.
Continuing with the first month of action, Sweet Briar will head to Winchester, Va., to challenge Shenandoah on September 9th before traveling to Bluefield, Va., for a rematch against Bluefield on September 10th. The team returns to Williams Gymnasium for games against Clinton on September 11th and Mary Baldwin on September 16th, followed by a home contest versus Regent on September 19th.
The Vixens are back on the road for two consecutive matches: September 26th against Pitt-Bradford and September 27th at Stevenson, both in Owing Mills, Md. The following week, they visit Penn State-York on September 27th and then play Hollins in Roanoke, Va., on September 30th.
October begins with a trip to Rock Hill, S.C., to face Clinton on October 4th, and a visit to Harrisonburg, Va., for a match against EMU on October 8th. The action returns to Williams Gymnasium as Sweet Briar hosts Johnson C. Smith on October 10th. Away matches follow with Regent in Virginia Beach on October 18th and Johnson C. Smith in Charlotte, N.C., on October 21st.
On October 25th, the team faces Randolph in Lynchburg, Va., before an evening match against Virginia Union at the same location later that day. Action at home concludes with a matchup against Mary Baldwin on October 30th.
To wrap up the season, the Vixens compete in Arlington, Va. on November 8th against Neumann at 2:00 p.m., followed by a 4:00 p.m. game against Marymount.
