FOREST, Va. – Seniors
Lucia Bovard (Mount Pleasant, N.C.) and
Alex Guilarte (Barquisimeto, Venezuela) of the Sweet Briar College tennis team have both earned spots on the 2025-26 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) All-Conference Team, the conference announced today, May 13th.
Guilarte landed on the Second Team at No. 1 singles for the second straight year, while the duo of Bovard/Guilarte once again found themselves on the Second Team at No. 1 doubles.
Guilarte played all of her matches at the No. 1 singles spot this season and totaled seven wins, six of which came in conference play against Hollins, Lynchburg, Randolph-Macon, Roanoke, Shenandoah and Virginia Wesleyan.
In doubles play, the duo earned nine wins at the No. 1 flight, taking down doubles teams from Hollins, Lynchburg, Randolph, Randolph-Macon, Roanoke, Shenandoah and Virginia Wesleyan.
This marks the second doubles All-ODAC honor for Bovard, the second singles and third doubles honors for Guilarte.
